Overview
This IDC Government Insights study presents the results of a survey of IT professionals in the government sector in Central European countries – specifically, in Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, and the Czech Republic. It focuses on providing insight into the area of ICT skills.
"Government efficiency in the V4 countries of Central Europe is hindered by a lack of ICT skills among government employees. It is evident that continuous ICT training is needed for the situation to improve. Some 30% of government bodies currently provide no ICT training to their non-IT employees, which implies huge potential for high-quality and cost-effective ICT training within the government sector." -– Research Analyst Jan Petruj, IDC Government Insights, CEMA
