Overview
Mobility is one of the key pillars of government modernization. Government domains, such as emergency services and local governments, are expected to be primary users of mobile devices and see an increased take up of bring-your-own-device policies. South Yorkshire Police took advantage of funding and procurement facilities put forward by a national program to make local policing more efficient.
"It is important that mobile government strategies take into account the business value delivered to end users, including citizens and employees, rather than simply focusing on spending money to deploy, manage, and secure devices," said Silvia Piai, research manager, IDC EMEA Government Insights.
