Overview
In what is a clear indication of its ambitions to be a truly global ICT service provider, Japan's largest service provider, NTT has made an offer to purchase Dimension Data, the South Africa–based solutions and services provider, for $3.2 billion. NTT says the acquisition will create a "one-stop provider of a broad and high-quality end-to-end total ICT services offering." Dimension Data will delist from the London and Johannesburg exchanges, but will retain its brand and will remain a separate entity within the larger NTT group.
