Jan A. Duffy

EMEA Research Director

Jan Duffy is EMEA Research Director, IDC Government Insights and IDC Health Insights.

Ms. Duffy has more than 25 years of experience providing advice about the use of IT to solve challenging business problems, particularly in the government and healthcare sectors. Immediately prior to accepting her current position, Jan was responsible for IDC Canada’s Healthcare Research Program, and this followed her management of IDC Canada’s Government Research Program.

Ms. Duffy is a regular contributor to the IDC Health Insights Community (http://idc-insights-community.com/health) and to the IDC Government Insights Community (http://idc-insights-community.com/government) with particular emphasis on European government issues and she is a frequent speaker at leading industry and business events and has chaired and participated in many conferences, symposia and seminars. She has also guest lectured at North and South American Universities and is the author of “Harvesting Experience—Reaping the Benefits of Knowledge.”

Prior to joining IDC, Ms. Duffy was Vice President, Solutions Practice Development with LGS Group Inc., one of Canada’s leading management and information technology consulting firms, now part of IBM. Ms. Duffy is also a former KPMG and President of Duffy Consulting Group Inc.
