Jan Petruj

Research Analyst, Vertical Markets, IDC CEMA

Based in IDC's office in Prague, Jan Petruj joined IDC CEMA in 2010 as a research analyst. He is a member of the IDC Government Insights program, which focuses its research on ICT trends, strategies, and development in the public sector across the region, helping both vendors and governments to optimize their technology and market decisions.

In addition to his responsibilities for Government Insights, Petruj also works with the IDC CEMA Vertical Markets team on cross-vertical research. In this position, he contributes to monitoring market activities and gathering and analyzing data across all vertical industries in the region.

Prior to joining IDC, Petruj worked for four years as an advisor to Czech President Vaclav Klaus.

Jan Petruj holds a master's degree from Faculty of Economics and Public Administration at the University of Economics in Prague. In addition to his native Czech, he speaks English and Slovak.
