Adelaide O'Brien

Research Manager

Adelaide O'Brien is Research Manager and responsible for Government Insights research regarding sourcing decisions within government. Adelaide began her career working in various state and local governmental positions, including Minnesota State Government, Boston City Government, and the Attorney General of Texas. She draws on more than 20 years of experience in high-tech corporations, where she successfully led product management, marketing, and services businesses targeted to government and commercial business requirements. Prior to joining Government Insights, Adelaide served as Director of Marketing for Avaya, where she was responsible for transforming traditional maintenance into a $2B service business that enables customers to migrate to the latest VoIP technology, including security planning services, hosted, outsourced, and managed solutions.

During her career, she also developed business-to-government marketing strategies, and won the ITSMA marketing excellence award for the creation of a marketing program that leverages business intelligence to provide commercial and government customers reports of results and value unique to their business operations.

Adelaide has a Masters of Public Affairs from the University of Texas, where she published several articles on government policies and processes, and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota. She is actively engaged in ACT/IAC as well as Women in Technology.
